DNA. NOTES

NOTES:

How are DNA , chromosomes and genes are related.

Cell-can only be seen under a microscope because cells are so tiny.

Work like tiny factories.

Nucleus-center of the cell/brain. Nucleus-chromosome-dna

Chromosome is in the nucleus and the DNA in the chromosome.-chromosome contains D.N.A

-Chromosome-humans have 23 sets of chromosomes  .

-each chromosome contains different information

Dna- A T C G -dna is made up of 4 different bases-it also holds protein.

CG g joins with c.  TA- GC -when combined it =word

gene=chapter         codon=word - dozens,hundreds and thousands of bases

-same as a chapter-Gene = sequence of dna.

When 3 groups come together they become a word.

-groups of groups.

-a group of genes makes up our chromosomes.

-Chromosome-gene 1 /gene 2 =BOOK. 

 All chromosome=series of book

TASK DESCRIPTION:For this task i have had to watch a video about DNA , chromosomes and genes.

then i had to write down some key notes.

Week 4 ,DMICS , perimeter and area

This week 4 DMIC we have 
been learning about perimeter and area.
we have had to get into pairs and i was paired with petesa 

For this Task we have had to figure out a math
question about area and perimeter

The maths question was about a field and we had to figure the legth of the sides by using area
and perimeter , but we had to make sure both answers were the same.

At first we started with a high number but the numbers weren't the same so we decided to make the numbers lower .
as the numbers got lower it got easer . we had to try about 3 times , but then we finally got and
in the end it turned out more easier then we exspected,so we were the first to get the anwser.

This week we have been learning to Take notes from our adventure as we explore the different continents and the continent our teacher has chose was europe.

so we have also been Learning about the romans

Chocolate Muffins
Today in tech we have been learning to make chocolate muffins.
Here ingredients we have used in order  S R Flower  ,cocoa  , sugar , milk , oil ,and 1 egg.
what we did first was put in the ingredients 1 1/2 of Flower   ,1/3 cup of cocoa  , 1/2 of sugar , 1/2 cup of milk , 1/2 c of oil ,and 1 egg.
Once all the ingredients were in order in the bowl we then had to mix well and Once mixed add
it to the muffin tin with a spoon and made 12 muffins Once that was all done we than had to put it in the oven and cooked it for about 15 minutes at 180oC.

Activity 1: Mixed-Member Proportional (MMP)

In 1996, New Zealand adopted the MMP voting system. In September of 2017 we had a national election. Everyone in New Zealand, over the age of 18, was invited to vote for who they wanted to form the next government in New Zealand. The race was really close and in the end, three different political parties (Labour, New Zealand First and the Green Party), came together to form the new government. It is called a ‘coalition government’ because it includes different people from different political parties.

Imagine that you had to form a coalition government with two other people.  Wh1o would you choose to partner with?

I would form a coalition with my son, Aronui, and with my friend, Amber. Aronui would be a great addition to the coalition because he is funny and kind. He would make us laugh and take care of us. Amber would be great because she is really smart and thoughtful. She is also good at making decisions. I think that we would form a great team. What about you? Who would you choose? Why?

I would form a coalition with my best friend hazel and my best friend laolao. Laolao would be a great addition to the coalition because she is really funny shes the funniest out of all my friends and shes very respectfull and helpful. hazel would be a great addition to the coalition because she is respectfull, kind and responsible .

In late 2016, the movie Moana was released by Disney. It’s a beautiful story about a young Polynesian girl from the fictional island of Motunui, who goes on a big adventure.

long time ago maui the demi god stole the heart of tefiti th heart of tefiti helps everything grow but now thats its gone every growing and living thing just gets worser and gets destroyed .till moana came

Moana is a Polynesian girl that lives with her family on an island of motunui her dad is the leader so she was next in line to become the new leader. so moana was training to be a new leader till one day they were husking the coconutsand inside of it was black so they began a new row of cocnut trees on the other side of the island then one day they realized that the food and the plants were not growing.

when moana was just a little girl she was chosen by the sea to find maui and return the heart of tefifti but she thought it was just a dream untill grandma told her it wasn't and that she was there when the sea gave moana the heart .then her grandma tala showed her canoes , waka and boats moanas grandma told her to play the drums mosns played the drums then she saw that along time ago that they were voyagers and she fond out why her father hid them so she ran to her father showed him the heart but he didnt belive her later on that night grandma tala got sick moana knew that her grama was gonna past away she was so sad she started to cry. grandma tala told her to return the heart of tefiti and find maui to help her take the heart back but moana said she can't because she wanted to stay with her grandma tala so tala gave her necklace to moana and she putted the heart of tefiti inside and said there is nowhere where u can go that i won't be. so moana ran and went to her home and packed some fruit and food her mum followed her and cryed but helped moana then they said goodbye moana got a conoe and she was on her way but she didn't know how to control it. my favorite part was when she found hei hei in her canoe and when she met maui.
