Auckland City Mission Air Rescue OXFAMI APOLOGISE FOR THE LATE POST
Hi Hilary this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. OXFAM is a great charity and a global one at that! Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep your learning up over the school break!
ReplyDeleteMalo Hilary, it's Naomi from The University of Auckland. I was reading your post about Oxfam and I couldn't agree more. Oxfam is a well respected and supported charity the world over. I love your sentiments of wanting to fight for "a world with equality for all" especially as Oxfam is so serious about tackling poverty. I hope you are having a fabulous break and doing things you enjoy doing!

ReplyDeleteMōrena Hilary, how is your summer going? What have you been up to?
My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m part of the Ako Hiko cluster but i’ve just popped over to the Manaiakalani cluster this morning to check out some of the learners’ awesome blogs! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.
Thank you for posting about Oxfam. I can tell by reading your post that you are a caring and empathetic person. How did you find out about this organisation? It breaks my heart to think about the amount of people who are affected by poverty around the world, so I have huge amounts of respect for the organisations who do some incredible work!
If you were to volunteer for another charity, what would it be and why?
Just a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes tomorrow (Friday 24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!
Have a groovy day Hilary and I really hope you have the time to complete some more activities over today and tomorrow :)
Eliza.
