Day 3: It’s All in the Family

Day 3: It’s All in the Family

Activity 1: The More, the Merrier? victorian family.jpg
In the 1800s, most families were pretty big. In fact, many parents had an average of seven to nine children.  Imagine that you were a child in the 1800s and you had nine siblings.

On your blog, please tell us how you would feel. Would you enjoy being a member of such a large family? Why or why not?

i alredy have a big family but not super big. To be honest i would love to have a big family with lots of siblings i think that because like if you have alot of older siblings they can help when your parents need to pay this and that at the same time but can't also because i'll have more yonger siblings sometimes younger siblings can be so annoying but they do make alot of funny mistakes that you can make fun of just kidding but honestly of course they can be annoying but they are so cute and most of the time funny.

  1. Hey there Hilary it's wonderful to see that you've completed a couple more activities and are still blogging during your summer holidays. It's not too long until school goes back!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on what it would be like to have a lot of brothers and sisters, although it sounds like you already know what that's like. It will definitely be a good thing because you would have so many people to depend on. I never thought about how the older siblings could contribute to the household's income.

How many brothers and sisters do you have?

Would there be anything you mightn't like about having a lot of siblings? It would be tough if there wasn't enough food to feed all of the hungry mouths.

I'm also really impressed with the second activity you have completed. I like the way you have included pictures of your family to accompany the interesting facts you have written about them. It sounds like your family and siblings like a lot of the same things I do. I love playing video games on my Xbox One. What games do your siblings enjoy playing the most?

Thanks, can't wait to hear more, well done!
    Billy
