cross country

on monday the 7th of september our   pt england school had  a cross country  after morning tea. When  cross country race  started me and my class walked and sat in a line next to a chair with a paper that says year 4 girls and the boys sat next to a chair that says year 4 boys . The year 1 boys went first they walked to the start line” then our  principal  Mr burt   said on your marks get set then he clapped the clapper  and said go then the  year 1 boys started to run after the year one boys ran it was the year 1 girls turn to run  in the when the  year 1 girls finish running it was the year 2 boys turn to run the year 2 boys ran super fast then they ran all the way to the finish line then it was the year 2 girls turn to run in the cross country race  they lined up then walked to the start line then Mr burt   said on your marks get set then he clapped the clapper  and said go then the year 2 girls started running very fast they tried to come first in the race but some of the girls came first and some came 2nd and last.  After they ran  the year 4 boys ran  after the year 4 boys ran  me and the year 4 girls standed up and   walked to the start line  i felt nervous  then Mr burt   said on your marks get set then he clapped the clapper  and said go  so i tried to run very fast then mud splattered all over my feet and i tried to run very fast to the finish line  but when i got to the finish line my heart was pounding so i went to get a drink of water and sat down with my friend and i was  cheering to the other kids running in the race.

museum trip

On Friday Rm12 and 11 went on a trip to the Auckland museum to learn about dinosaurs and dinosaur fossils.when we were in the bus we were singing songs  When we got to the museum we had to walk quietly because there were a lot of people at the museum. Then we went to sit down and our teachers  gave us little books that she made for us to search for things in the museum.

First we went eating room to eat then we  

started to search for things that our in our books in the museum. The first room we went to had lots of stuff in it and we had to count how many shoes were in the glass . The next room we went to was wild child and there were a lot of toys we had to count how many

glass boxes with candy in it  then we had to think what the time was on the clock and it was 7 o'clock after that we had to look inside the tree house and try and find a animal.The third room we went to was where the maori things were we had to count how many people were on the island in the big glass box after that we saw people performing then we got to see the dinosaur fossils  we saw a t rex fossil than we got to see a brachiosaurus fossil it was so fun after that we went to see the volcanoes and there was a big fake volcano it kind of looked real. the last room we went to was a classroom and we were learning about dinosaur fossil and dinosaurs we got to hold a  fossil of  T rex hand a triceratops egg and three people in our class was play fossil or not.After that we went outside and ate our lunch and we got to feed the birds and go play then we walked  a hill and slide and roll down it then we walked to the bs and went back to school

My favorite part at the Auckland museum was rolling down the hill and

going to see the dinosaur fossil and going to the volcanoes because it was so cool and fun

Hilary dinoaur spikeasaurus

A Spikeasaurus was a big and scary and  dangerous dinosaur  that lived in the Cretaceous period  69 million years ago.

It’s name was Spikeasaurus  because  it

had sharp spikes around its body

A Spikeasaurus was an omnivore because  it ate plants and meat. it has a hard club on the end of its tail so when a T-rex comes and tries  to attack  it a Spikeasaurus can hit a T-rex foot with it’s tail.  The tail is long.

It  also  has a big head and its teeth are the size of a banana it has one sharp spike on it’s nose and very fast legs and spikes on its tail.

WHAT DOES A KIWISPORT COACH DO?
Kiwi sport coaches go to different schools to teach kids different kinds of sports skills only for 40 minutes each class.  They also teach kids how to jump high properly and how to cooperate as a team. They also do kiwi sport warm ups and strategies

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES A KIWISPORT COACH NEED/WHAT DO THEY WEAR?

Kiwi sport coaches  wear blue T - Shirts  and  they also wear black T- Shirts and black pants.

Picnic

Pt England school were lucky enough to go to Pt England beach last week on friday . We were going to enjoy our day and have fun in the sun at our annual school picnic.My favourite activity was making sandcastles because it was fun. I decorated my sandcastle with big and small shells. My 2nd favourite activity was playing with the slimy  clay.I made a  dog with the clay and it got so gluggy. I felt very happy because the picnic so much fun.
